This is something I love to do, imagining. It may sound weird because everyone imagines. But imagining is so powerful.
Why Imagine More?
Imagining is the first step for everything,
McGregor said \”If you can see it here [pointing to his head], and you have enough courage to speak it…it will happen.\”
You close your eyes and suddenly you shift into a realm where everything you want becomes reality.
You see everything you have ever wanted.
You hear everything you want to hear.
But most importantly, you actually feel it.
Imagining is powerful because it allows us to feel what it is like, it opens up a door where you can experience different things.
You want to feel happy? Take a moment and imagine what that feels like.
You want to know how it feels to drive a nice car? Take a moment and imagine what that feels like.
You want to know how it feels like to start your own family? Take a moment and imagine what that feels like.
There is just something really powerful about imagining in general, even if it were not related to yourself. You just get that feeling in your heart that for some reason feels good. For example, I was in Al Jazirah Al Hamra and I visited a deserted kindergarten and I only imagined how life must have been like back then. The children who sat in those deserted classes have their own grandchildren. The teachers who taught over there could have passed away. Then you start thinking about the circle of life, how you could be sitting in a classroom, then your child and then your grandchild. It shows you how short life is and it gives you a reminder to live in the present.
How to Imagine?
Some of us may find it hard to imagine. There are a couple of things I realised that trigger my imagination.
1. Drop your phone
Yes, this does not need anymore elaboration. Dropping your phone means you have a clearer mind. I\’ve excessively decreased the usage of my social media and I have found myself imagining deeply and putting myself in scenarios that allow me to access my different parts of my brain.
2. Calm mind is a necessity
Stress is the enemy of imagination. Eliminate your stress to be able to properly imagine. This might be straightforward but it is generally forgotten about.
3. Trigger your imagination
How is that done? You have to do some discovering yourself. I personally found out that my imagination gets triggered through music which allows me to easily put myself into different situations. I also realised that my imagination gets triggered when my head is on the pillow and I am about to sleep.
Conclusion
This might have been a straightforward topic but it is important to shed some light onto this topic. Imagination is a powerful tool and it could be the thing that pushes you towards doing something great.
So, imagine more.
